The Malawi Queens will miss the captain and goal defender Caroline Mtukule-Ngwira at the Fast5 World Netball series which is held in October as she is on maternity leave.
The newly-appointed Queens coach Griffin Saenda has confirmed the development and said they are going to miss the services of Mtukule-Ngwira.
“Caro is good player, being the Captain and the most experienced player, but considering her situation we have no choice, we are going to miss her services.
“We will identify her right replacement. I am not losing sleep over that,” said Saenda.
While Mtukule-Ngwira has promised to came back soon and hoped others could do even better without her.
“My situation has prevented me to, but I am sure there are other equally good players that can fill my position. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to bouncing back soon.”
Mtukule-Ngwira has been a back bone for the Queens for almost a decade now.
Meanwhile, Saenda has disclosed he will announce the preliminary squad for the Fast5 Series by next week.
