Despite Malawi National Team has no coach , Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has disclosed that it is not rushing to appoint a new coach to replace Former Flames Coach Ernest Mtawali.
According to FAM general secretary Suzgo Nyirenda said that association needs to have enough time to crutinise mode which has been using to recruit national coach in the past before recruit new one.
“We have to reflect on the past and see where we have been going wrong when recruiting our coaches. As such we will consult widely getting views from the all players including the media.
“Since we are going to have any competitions up to December we will not panic to appoint a new coach as our next assignment is in next year in Africa Championship (Chan) a competition for local based players,” Nyirenda said.
Meanwhile, the association has a caretaker coach Nsanzwirwimo Ramadhan in pole position for the job, who managed Flames 1-0 win over Swaziland in the last Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers held on September 4.
