Be Forward Wanderers’ Nigerian striker, Amos Bello is likely has dumped the club due to unknown reasons as he is not reporting to training.

According to Wanderers Team Manager, Steve Madeira said Bello was last seen during the Carlsberg Cup semifinal match against Mangochi Police, which ended 1-0 in favour of the Lali Lubani outfit at Kamuzu Stadium.

“He only told me that he was going to Lilongwe to collect some items which his brother sent from Nigeria. He was supposed to report back for training on the Tuesday after the Mangochi game, but he never showed up,” Madeira explained.

“We cannot get him through his mobile phone. We might have to report a missing person case [to police] because in my books, we have rendered him as a person Absent Without Leave (Awol).”

ElijahKananji also confirmed that the striker is very difficult to be  be traced.

“We are just hearing rumours that he is in Mozambique whereas some are saying that he went to South Africa. We don’t know where exactly he is now,” Kananji said.

Nomads General Secretary, Mike Butao, who facilitated the player’s deal from Nigeria, was not available yesterday.

Nomads Vice-Treasurer, Chulu Mkangama, confirmed that Bello did not say bye to Wanderers, but insisted the players is still contracted to the club.

“We are hearing a lot of speculations, but we cannot react based on mere hearsay. He is still our player,” Mkangama said.

Bello joined Nomads on a two-year deal from Shiba Academy of Nigeria. The lanky forward, who scored once in the TNM Super League this season, recently threatened to sue the club over signing-on fees.

He made a bright start to his career at Wanderers before his career nose-dived. He was mostly used as a substitute.
