Nyasa Big Bullets has expressed a concern to Super League of Malawi (Sulom) over the TNM Super League broadcasting rights deal which was awarded to Beta Television.
The letter signed by Bullets general secretary Kelvin Moyo has demanded a meeting with Sulom within seven days.
“Nyasa Big Bullets FC is concerned as to how the Super League Television Broadcasting deal is currently being handled by Sulom.
“We have observed that protocol was never followed. No official communication was sent to Nyasa Big Bullets as regards the technicalities of the broadcasting deal such as mode of payment,” reads a part of letter.
Bullets has also accused Sulom of failing to brief clubs on the progress of the deal as regards payment of the K266 million Beta TV deal.
Sulom treasurer Tiya Somba-Banda said the issue of the broadcasting rights was discussed at Sulom Annual General Meeting (AGM) where all clubs were represented.
“This is very strange and a bit laughable indeed. Sulom engaged all the teams from the onset and Big Bullets has been represented by the author of the letter Mr. Kelvin Moyo,” he said.
