Nyasa Big Bullets football club have failed to head the TNM super league following their goalless draw result against Azam Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Tigers managed to hold Bullets throughout the match though they failed to net as the peoples team defence stood firm at back.
In the last minutes of the match, Bullets could have took the lead but Tigers’ defender is said to have cleared the ball on the goal line of which referee, Andy Kuseri, did not see.
But speaking in a post match interview Bullets’ team manager, Rahim Ishmael, said blamed his midfield boys as they failed to create clear chances.
” It was not the convincing performance, we failed to create chances today, there was no creativity in the midfield ,”said Ishmael.
On his part, Kanjedza based boys technical director, Robin Alufandika, commended his boys for the gallant fight.
“It was a good game, we should thank boys for fighting hard and at least we have managed to get a point,” said Alufandika.
Following this result, Bullets are now level on points with Mafco football club but they are on the second position due to better goal difference.Both are only a point behind league leaders, Silvers Strikers,who have got 42 points.
While Kau Kau boys are on ninth position with 31 points from 22 matches and are only 11 points away from Silver Strikers.
