Africa’s flagship football tournament the African Cup of Nations takes place in Gabon next January the groups draw done yesterday in Gabon.
The draw took place at the Stade de l’Amitie in the capital, Libreville, where teams knew who they would face when the tournament finally kicks off.
The Southern Africa will only be represented by Zimbabwe.
The buildup to the tournament, which begins on 14 January, has been dominated by doubts over where it will be staged as the aftershocks of Gabonese presidential elections continue to be felt.
