By the end of today’s business all Teams that have qualified for the last 16 round of 2016 FISD challenge cup are expected to know their opponents.
According to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) the draw will be held at Zodiak Broadcasting Station’s studios in Lilongwe starting from 1400hours in the afternoon.
FAM’s competitions manager, Gomezgani Zakazaka has confirmed the development and he said there are possibilities that Super league teams can be drawn against each other.
“All the 16 teams will be put in one pot in the draw which will start with the round of 16,quarterfinals, semis and the final itself. So there are chances of regional teams playing against each and Super League giants playing against each other,” said Zakazaka.
Eight Super league teams have qualified for this round. And a total of another eight remaining teams to make it 16 are expected to be known by Sunday.
Super league teams that have qualified are the following: Nyasa Big Bullets, Blue Eagles, Silver Strikers, Civo United, Epac, Dwangwa United, Kamuzu Barracks and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.
Presently a total of six teams from all the regions of this Country have been known and the remaining two will be produced this weekend.
