Malawian midfielder Gerald Phiri Jnr a contract after he impressed Platinum Stars the during trials last week and are set to offer his a contract.
Phiri Jnr joined Stars on trial last week in bid to impress coach Cavin Johnson and his technical team after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Bidvest Wits following a loan spell at Township Rollers last season.
The Malawian international is reported to have done well during the trials and Dikwena are considering offering him a contract.
The magazine has quoted Johnson who says the decision to sign the player is in the hands of the club management.
“I am happy with what I saw. It’s no longer up to me [If he is signed or not]” Johnson is quoted as saying.
