Things start to sour again in Be Forward Wanderers as some players are demanding their signing-on fees as the season is winding up..
Wanderers’ captain, Francis Mlimbika, reportedly boycotted the team’s trip to the Capital City where the Nomads beat Civo United 1-2 on Saturday before losing to Kamuzu Barracks by the similar margin the following day.
Nomads Vice Chairperson, Gift Mkandawire, confirmed the demands of the players.
“We have devised a schedule for them. It is not a big deal as long as they understand. We do not have floating money at the moment,” Mkandawire said in a written response.
Reports suggest Mlimbika and Mike Kaziputa are demanding about K400, 000 each.
However, Mlimbika tried to dodge it way yesterday.
“I pulled my thigh muscles on Thursday hence I could not travel to Lilongwe. I am not aware of issues to do with money,” Mlimbika said.
Nevertheless, the team’s technical staff insisted that Mlimbika was not injured.
Nomads are on position seven with 32 points from 22 games.
