Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Patrick Mabedi has departed National First Division outfit Cape Town All Stars after just over a fortnight in charge.
The club appointed Mabedi to replace the fired Mlungisi’professor’ Ngubane but the 42-year-old has since resigned his post with immediate effect.
The club released a statement via their website on Tuesday night with Cape Town All Stars General Manager Faeez Dulvie confirming the departure.
“We confirm the resignation of coach Patrick Mabedi with immediate effect. Mabedi notified the club of his resignation on Monday night. His resignation is mainly due to difference of opinion on certain organizational and football matters of the club. Anything beyond would be reasons only known to Patrick,” Dulvie stated.
Igugu Lekapa managed a 1-1 draw with Milano United over the weekend.
