Mighty Be Forward Wanderers have both fired head coach Eddington Ng’onamo and assistant Eliah Kananji following to resolution made at the meeting held on Tuesday.
According to statement released by club on Wednesday Ngonamo is sacked as Head Coach due to his busy schedule.
“Ngobamo has busy schedule at Karibu Academy where he is teacher. This makes him available to coach the team only once or twice a week.
“Kananji is being released because despite being the one coaching the team 80% of the time the results are decidedly less than desirable. The team keeps tumbling down the log table,” reads the statement.
Meanwhile Nomads have replaced Ng’onamo with veteran and club legend Yasin Osman while another legend Bob Mpinganjira takes up Kananji’s place for the rest of the season.
Kananji confirms the dismissal saying he received the letter which cited the team’s poor performance as one of the reasons.
“Its true that I have been fired because I received the letter. But I would like to meet the executive committee to chart the way forward,” Kananji said
While Ng’anamo failed to comment on the development.
