Blue Eagles and Silver Strikers will meet in the FISD Challenge Cup semi finals as both teams won their matches following on Saturday.
Eagles progressed after they thumped non super league side, Tiakalulu football club, 2-0 in a match which was staged at Nankhaka ground in Lilongwe.
Eliya Chibingu and Philip Masiye each scored to ensure that the Area 30 boys should seal their slot in the next stage of the Cup which is in its maiden season.
Elsewhere, a lone goal from substitute, Blessings Tembo, was enough for the Silver Strikers to beat Dwangwa United 1-0 in quarter finals encounter played at Silver Stadium.
Though MacDonald Mtetemera’s team dominated much of the possession but Lovemore Faziri’s team proved that were too good for them.
This is the second time that Tembo has helped his outfit in this Cup as it was also seen last week as his late strike sent Nyasa Big Bullets out of the tournament.
Silver Strikers and the law enforcers are looking for the first silver wares in this season.
