Newly hired Karonga United’s Assistant Coach, Oscar Kaunda, has disclosed that they are going to win another three games head out of the remaining seven TNM Super League games.
Kaunda gained this confidence after seeing his side upsetting Blue Eagles, lost 2-1 at Mzuzu Stadium Sunday and promised to win more to keep their league survival bid alive.
“The day I arrived at this club, I told everyone that we need 12 points to survive relegation. Now that we have won this game, we are looking forward to winning three more and we will be safe.
“I trust my boys and I know they will make it. If they continue working hard as we have done today, we will be on the safe side come the end of the season,”,” Kaunda said.
Kaunda managed this victory alone, as the Head Coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, who was reportedly attending a funeral
Karonga’s next match is against Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium over the weekend.
