Ngwira has been out of action for six months in a bid to force a move to Alliance Capital Stars after she was offered a job, which required her to play for the team that the company sponsors.

In its ruling which was released on Thursday, the committee stated that Alliance Capital Stars were supposed to get consent from Tigresses before talking to the player who is on a four year-contract at her club.

The ruling also recognised that teams can sign new players during two transfer periods— January to March then August 1 to 14.

Tigresses’ Team Manager, Helene Mpinganjira-Tasosa, described the ruling as fair although the player has been deprived action.

“All along we knew that we were right because the player was taken out of our official hostel. They talked to the player without our consent. It is sad this is happening at the expense of the player’s career,” she said.

Alliance Capital Stars’ Chairperson, Dalitso Chinyama, said they were yet to decide whether to appeal.

Ngwira refused  to comment on the matter.
