Tigresses is now leading the Rainbow Paints Southern Region Netball League after winning two games over the weekend but they are in fear to be overtaken by Kukoma Diamonds.
It all started on Saturday when Tigresses defeated Prison Sisters 75-43 at Blantyre Youth Centre before hammered mercilessly Gerald Tasaukadala Sisters 101-13 the following day on the same place.
The victories landed the defending champions to have 30 points from 11 games.
The team’s Assistant Coach, Noel Mussa, said they will keep on fighting to snatch the championship from Tigresses.
“We will not relax because we want to win the league having missed it last season. So far, we are impressed with how the team has started the second round,” Mussa said.
While Kukoma Diamonds are second also with 30 points but they have played few games, one less than leaders which is threat to defending champions.
Thunder Queens also returned are on third with 24 points from 10 games.
