Japanese used Car Exporter, Be Forward, has extended a K150 million sponsorship deal with Nomads with further three years, a deal which will see the team pocket K15 million each time the team wins the league in the agreed period.
The deal has been signed on Skype, and it will expire in 2021, but on a positive note it is subject to renewal as per a statement made by the team’s General Secretary, Mike Butao.
According to a local Newspaper, Butao said: “We are expecting even more as the contract is subject to review every year. Be Forward will also empower us to go commercial. This also means more money for the team.
“We are now at peace with ourselves. Life is better now. We can plan in the long term and achieve our goals. It is pleasing and gratifying that Be Forward has shown trust, confidence and satisfaction in the manner we have been managing the sponsorship.”
The Paper also indicates that the team is yet to talk with the sponsors in their commercialisation drive move.
“Butao said stakeholders at Lali Lubani Road will sit down to determine which projects to embark on in their commercialisation drive,” reads the report.
The Japanese company started sponsoring Wanderers in 2015 and in the previous seasons the team has been signing one year extensions, and this is the first time they are signing a long term contract.
