Mighty Be Forward Wanderers yesterday saw their lead at the summit of the TNM Super League cut by two points after settling for a one-draw against Lilongwe giant Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Mighty Be Forward Wanderers appeared to be on their way to victory after Francisco Madinga put them ahead in the 42nd minute through the cross from rising striker in Wanderers Babatunde Adepoju but Khuda Ikena Muyaba’s sublime free-kick in the 67th minute saw the Nomads’ hope going up in smoke.
Had they won the match yesterday against Silver, the Nomads outfit could have maintained a four-point lead on top of the 16-team log-table in the TNM Super League, but the stalemate means they are now just two points clear of second-placed Nyasa Big Bullets.
This is follows maximum six points collected by Nyasa Big Bullets in the north after thumbing Chitipa United and Karonga United respectively
Both teams have played 18 games. Bullets has scored 41 goals and canscided only 9 goals while Wanderers has scored 36 goals snd conscided 10 goals.
