Former TNM Super League team Dedza Young Soccer has expressed their desire to return to the elite league after over four years in the wilderness.

Young Soccer Technical Director Hassan Phiri well known as ‘Awemba’ said their hope is to utilize the new Chipiku Central Region Football League Premier League Format to earn promotion to the top flight league.

‘’We will be using our home ground for the first phase of the games and we believes this will increase our chances of advancing to the next round.

Phiri also cited that the games have helped them to work on the shape of the team after players stayed for a long time without playing because of the Covid 19 break.

He further said they are now ready to start the battle for promotion to the Super League.

Young Soccer is in Zone D of the league alongside Dedza Dynamos, Kawinga FC and Ntcheu Strikers.

Therefore these four teams will have their matches played at Dedza stadium which used to host Young Soccer’s games during their time in the Super League.

Phiri has since called on all football lovers in Dedza to rally behind their team as it fights for promotion.

The 2020 -2021 Chipiku Priemier league season is expected to kick off this weekend with participating teams being split into zones.
